[Easy] Getting ready for PHP Empty
PostSubject: [Easy] Getting ready for PHP   [Easy] Getting ready for PHP EmptySun Oct 30, 2011 7:05 pm

Setting up PHP, first you will need WAMPSERVER. Download and install it then run it and you should get a green boxed W at the bottom right as an icon. By clicking on it then clicking 'localhost', this will run the first index.php or home.php in the www folder.

Any php files you want to host will need to be put into the wamp/www folder, normally located in the C: drive. You can access the file by typing "localhost/'FILENAME.PHP/HTML'" it will then run the PHP file or HTML document.

Another nice program to use is Notepad++. You can write all your code in here and itll light up colours to show different statements etc. It helps the whole coding part become less confusing, even for me.

IMPORTANT - DELETE THE INDEX.PHP FILE FROM C:/WANP/WWW FOLDER FIRST!
